The teachers at Josephine Koh Piano Academy are trained in the JKPA tradition and methods under the direction of Ms Josephine Koh.

They hold recognised music qualifications and receive ongoing pedagogical training to maintain consistent teaching standards across the Academy.

The team works very closely within a structured system, of which all students are developed and supported by Ms Koh.

Dr Ke Jiezhi
MBBS, FRSM, FTCL, FLCM, LRSM, DipABRSM, AMusTCL

Dr Ke Jiezhi, son of Josephine Koh, began piano lessons with his mother at the age of three. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, while pursuing his musical studies alongside his medical training and university education.

Dr Ke’s musical development encompasses piano, percussion, conducting, composition and music theory. During his formative years, he obtained a Distinction in the DipABRSM as a percussionist with the Singapore National Youth Orchestra. Through continued piano study and an in-depth understanding of music theory and analysis, he subsequently attained Fellowship diplomas from Trinity College London, London College of Music and the Royal Schools of Music.

Music performance is very much a part of his life, from SNYO to percussionist with the Asian Doctors’ Orchestra and collaborating with chamber musicians in various charity initiatives. Dr Ke has also participated in piano masterclasses with musicians including Clemens Leske, Warren Thompson, Deniz Arman Gelenbe and Michael Okser-Bulychev.

In 2026, Dr Ke was appointed Assistant Conductor of the Joyeux Sinfonietta, conducting soloists in SHINE! Concerto in Perspective V.

At Josephine Koh Piano Academy, Dr Ke is Head of the Gifted Music Programme, teaching advanced and diploma-level piano students, music theory and Music Elective Programme (MEP) students. Under his guidance, students have achieved distinctions in advanced ABRSM grades and diploma examinations.

He also serves as a programme facilitator at Joyeux Music Pedagogy Academy, supporting the ARSM and LRSM Teaching Diploma programmes led by Ms Josephine Koh.

Evelyn Goh
LMusTCL, LTCL, AMusTCL, ATCL

Evelyn joined Josephine Koh Piano Academy (JKPA) in her early twenties as a diploma student and has since attained her Licentiate and Associate diplomas under the guidance of Ms Josephine Koh. She is currently working towards her Fellowship Performance Diploma.

At JKPA, Evelyn teaches advanced graded piano students as well as music theory. She has performed in numerous concerts as an orchestral pianist and concerto soloist, and has participated in festival masterclasses in Europe.

Beyond teaching and performance, Evelyn is also involved in the coordination of competitions, concerts and other events organised by Joyeux Music International and Wells Music Publishers.
